Designation: Assistant Manager Legal Recovery - Wheels

Job Brief:- The role involves managing and overseeing the legal recovery processes specifically related to vehicle financing at AU Small Finance Bank Limited. The incumbent will be responsible for strategizing and executing recovery actions to minimize non-performing assets within the wheels financing portfolio. This position requires close coordination with legal teams, recovery agents, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and effective asset recovery. The role demands a thorough understanding of financial services regulations, legal frameworks, and recovery mechanisms, with a focus on optimizing recovery outcomes while maintaining the bank's reputation and customer relationships.
Responsibilities:- 
  • Develop and implement legal recovery strategies for vehicle financing portfolios to reduce non-performing assets.
  • Coordinate with internal legal teams and external legal counsel to initiate and manage recovery litigation processes.
  • Monitor and analyze recovery performance metrics and prepare detailed reports for senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to asset recovery and legal proceedings.
  • Manage relationships with recovery agents, auction houses, and other third-party vendors to facilitate asset repossession and disposal.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of recovery cases to identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
  • Collaborate with credit and risk departments to assess recovery risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior team members on legal recovery procedures and documentation standards.
  • Handle escalations related to legal recovery cases and coordinate resolution with relevant stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting vehicle financing and recovery practices.
