Job Purpose
Health assessment of workforce & treatment of injuries/illnesses sustained during occupation. Planning & executing health monitoring plan taking cognizance of statutory requirements.Certifying health-fitness for particular job
Main Accountabilities
· Ensuring round the clock operation of Occupational Health Centre for management of medical emergencies & illnesses for employees, their family members & nearby village population.
· Ensuring round the clock availability of essential medicines, vaccines, consumables & equipment at OHC & its effective utilization by ensuring various techniques like first expiry – first out, medicine stock & storage management, maintenance & calibration of medical equipment.
· Ensuring development of prudent referral service by liaising with various specialty & superspecialist clinicians along with Ambulance service when required.
· Ensuring timely reporting of Occupational Injury & Occupational Illnesses to appropriate stake holders as defined in injury reporting matrix of organization.
· Planning & executing various statutory & non-statutory health check-ups like pre-employment, pre-placement & periodic health check-ups for employees. (Preventive & promotive Health Check-ups)
· Surveillance of Occupational illnesses & diseases along with corrective & preventive measures though Occupational/industrial Hygiene
· Assuring inputs to work ergonomic by analyzing & reporting musculoskeletal conditions & measures to reduce Effort Ergonomic Index.
· Planning & execution of Health Awareness on prevalent health topics by liaising with various expertise in medical field.
· Ensuring training of employees on various health aspects like First-Aider`s training, training on health-related SOP
· Evaluate and manage worker's compensation cases
· Ensuring support to employees Health Insurance scheme & health funds for Associates.
· Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
· Assuring documentation of patient data and maintain medical records.
· Ensuring basic hygiene for drinking water quality, canteen food & sanitation at shop floor.
· Ensuring periodic audits of canteen facility, nutritional analysis & improvement of canteen food, periodic health check-up & vaccination of food handlers.
· Ensuring 5S of the highest order.
Ensure TQBM practices Daily management culture with regular review & support to department team members
