The university can withdraw a post, increase or decrease posts in any category, or leave a post unfilled. The number of seats is therefore open to change.
Every post needs a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in the concerned discipline. The degree must be in the subject listed for your department in the notice, so read the discipline line in your own advertisement.

Professors also need a research score of 120, and Associate Professors 75, per the eligibility note (score sheet: 70). The experience period excludes leave taken for doing a Ph.D. The university may ask for Form 16 and ITR to check your service and pay.
For Assistant Professor, the basic degree also matters, with at least 55% marks. Fisheries posts need a four-year B.F.Sc., horticulture posts need B.Sc. Horticulture or Agriculture, Chemistry needs B.Sc. in a PCM, PCB or ZBC group, and engineering posts need BE or B.Tech. NET, SLET or SET is not needed for Master’s subjects where no such test is held. Candidates from post graduate streams in agriculture and engineering should match their degree to the department line.
SC, ST, differently-abled and OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates get a 5% relaxation in marks at graduate and Master’s level. Your qualification, age and experience are all counted as on the closing date, 5 December 2026.

The university can also hold a qualifying test or written test to shortlist candidates, and it may set its own criteria to reduce the number called. The shortlist and test details will be published only on the university website, so check it often. Keep your original certificates, photocopies and an identity proof ready for the verification. The university will not pay any travel expenses for the interview. The final appointment is provisional until character, antecedents and caste certificate are verified. Applications delivered by hand are not accepted. Use a separate form, envelope and fee for each post, and for Advt 15 each post or category. Employed candidates must send the proper-channel copy so it reaches within 30 days after the closing date, with the Employer’s Certificate.
