About Post : National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the official admission notification and online application form for the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE) 2027. This entrance test is conducted for admissions to Class 6th (VI) and Class 9th (IX) across Sainik Schools in India for the academic session 2027-28. Students who have passed Class 5th or Class 8th and meet the prescribed age limits can apply online from 03 November 2026 to 02 December 2026. Age Limit

  • For Class 6 (VI) Admission : 10 to 12 Years (Born between 01/04/2015 and 31/03/2017).
  • For Class 9 (IX) Admission : 13 to 15 Years (Born between 01/04/2012 and 31/03/2014).
  • Age rules are strictly calculated as on 31 March 2027 as per Sainik Schools Society norms.

Class 6th (VI) Admission 01/04/2015 to 31/03/2017 Candidate must have passed Class 5th from a recognized school. Girls and boys are both eligible for admission to Class VI.
Class 9th (IX) Admission 01/04/2012 to 31/03/2014 Candidate must have passed Class 8th from a recognized school at the time of admission.

Selection Process

  • Pen and Paper (OMR based) objective entrance test conducted by NTA across various test cities.
  • All India Merit List preparation based on written test marks.
  • Comprehensive Medical Examination of qualified candidates at designated military or government hospitals.
  • Document Verification of school records, birth certificate, domicile certificate, and category papers followed by school seat allotment.

How to Apply

  • Open the official portal of NTA AISSEE at exams.nta.ac.in/AISSEE.
  • Click on the AISSEE 2027 online registration link and register with basic details to get your Application Number.
  • Fill in candidate details, parent names, address, school details, choice of class (Class 6 or Class 9), and choice of test cities.
  • Upload scanned copies of the student’s recent photograph, signature, thumb impression, birth certificate, domicile certificate, and caste certificate (if applicable).
  • Pay the examination fee online through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.
  • Review the completed form carefully, submit it before 02 December 2026, and print a copy of the confirmation page for your records.
