Height is relaxable by 5 cm for male Garhwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas and Scheduled Tribe members. For female candidates of the same groups, height is relaxable by 2.5 cm and weight by 2 kg.

The tests are held in Lucknow at your own expense, and the date, time and venue will be told later. Success in the tests gives no right to appointment until the department is satisfied about your suitability. In a tie, the higher position or more than one medal may count. Individual and team events get the same preference, and winning more than one medal earns no extra preference.

Keep ready self-attested photocopies (never originals) of your Matriculation/SSC certificate for age proof, education certificate, sports certificate in the right Annexure-B form, ID proof and a recent colour photo. Add caste and PwBD certificates if they apply to you, and an NOC if you work in a central or state government office or PSU.
