| Local resident | You must live in a village of the saja you apply for. Upload the residence certificate from the Gram Mahasul Adhikari with the form. |
| Physically fit | You must be fit for the duties. A medical fitness certificate is asked at document check. |
| Clean record | No criminal case or court punishment. A police station certificate is needed at document check; without it your application can be rejected. |
| Caste certificate | Backward-class candidates who do not submit it at scrutiny can be rejected. |
| Non-creamy layer | All backward-class candidates except SC/ST, SEBC included, need a certificate valid up to 31 March 2027. |
| EWS certificate | Needed for FY 2026-27, dated before the exam date. |
| Affidavits | A no-political-party affidavit on Rs 100 stamp paper and the small family affidavit (Form A). Unmarried candidates also give one. |
Open-category women who want the women quota must choose it in the online form. Apply for one saja only, because the post is saja-wise and you must live in that saja.
The notification says the written exam is taken on the details you enter, without checking any document first. Your papers are scrutinised only later, and a candidate found ineligible is removed at any stage. So match every claim in your form, whether category, residence or women quota, with a valid certificate before you submit. Candidates who give false information can be removed from selection, have their appointment ended without notice, and face legal action.
The post is purely temporary and the notification gives a fixed honorarium of Rs 15,000 per month. It states no pay level, grade pay or allowances, so do not expect a pay-scale job. The honorarium is the only payment the notification mentions. Appointment terms follow the Revenue and Forest Department resolution of 7 May 1959.
| Stage | Detail |
|---|---|
| Written exam | Objective test of 50 questions, 100 marks, General Knowledge |
| Qualifying marks | At least 40 marks in the written exam |
| Document scrutiny | Provisional list on the basis of written marks, then full scrutiny |
| Final list | Saja-wise final selection list on the Tahsil office and the website |
The written exam is held on the same day and time for all talukas of the sub-division. Documents are checked only after the exam, so a wrong claim can throw you out at any stage, and applying or meeting the conditions does not give you a right to be called for the exam or appointed. Candidates called for the exam or document check must attend at their own cost. If marks tie, the heirs of the earlier Kotwal of that saja get preference when all else is equal. The notification does not mention exam duration or negative marking. Practise from the syllabus and exam pattern section.
Do not leave this for the last evening. The notification says the responsibility of any wrong or incomplete mobile number or email is yours, so recheck both before you submit. Keep ready your education proof, saja residence certificate, caste or EWS papers, a latest photo and signature. Applications by any other mode are not accepted, and details filled in cannot be changed later.
