Good news for RRB NTPC Graduate (CEN 06/2025) candidates shortlisted for the Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)! The CBAT admit card is now available on the official RRB admit card portal, so log in with your registration details and download it today. As per the notification, the CBAT is the aptitude test for the Station Master and Traffic Assistant posts. No separate CBAT notice PDF has been released with this update, so your CBAT date, shift, reporting time and exam centre are printed on your admit card itself — read them carefully and take a clear printout. At CBT 2 the RRBs checked candidates through Aadhaar-linked biometrics, so keep your original Aadhaar (or a printout of e-verified Aadhaar) ready and unlocked, and carry whatever else your admit card asks for.

The salary structure is based on the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC). For this recruitment, posts are available in Pay Level 4, 5, and 6. ‘Pay Level’ determines the basic pay and the corresponding pay band. For instance, a Level 6 post has an initial basic pay of ₹35,400. In addition to this basic pay, employees are entitled to several allowances which significantly increase the in-hand salary. These include Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Travel Allowance (TA). Other perks like medical facilities, railway passes, and contributions to the National Pension System (NPS) make the overall compensation package very attractive, ensuring financial stability and growth for the employees.
The RRB NTPC selection process is a multi-stage examination designed to test a candidate’s aptitude and skills thoroughly.
This is a common screening test for all posts. It will consist of 100 objective-type questions to be completed in 90 minutes. The subjects include General Awareness (40 marks), Mathematics (30 marks), and General Intelligence and Reasoning (30 marks). There will be a negative marking of 1/3rd for every incorrect answer. Marks from this stage will be normalized to shortlist candidates for the next stage.
Candidates who qualify the 1st Stage CBT will appear for the 2nd Stage CBT. The pattern for this stage is 120 questions to be answered in 90 minutes. The sections are General Awareness (50 marks), Mathematics (35 marks), and General Intelligence and Reasoning (35 marks). Similar to the first stage, there is a negative marking of 1/3rd for wrong answers. The merit list will be prepared based on the performance in this stage.
