The notification does not give any category-wise (UR, OBC, SC, ST, EWS) split of these seats. It also says the number of vacancies may go up or down, and that the Institute may choose not to fill a post at all.
The notification invites applications from Indian nationals. Your eligibility is checked as on the closing date, 2 November 2026. Here is what each post needs.
| Post | Essential Qualification |
|---|---|
| Allopathic General Physician | MCI recognised MBBS with registration in State or Indian Medical Register |
| Pediatrician, Obstetrician and Gynecologist, Ophthalmologist, Neuropsychiatrist / Psychiatrist, ENT Specialist | MCI recognised MBBS with PG Degree or Diploma in the concerned specialty |
| Ayurvedic | BAMS and registration with Ayush or State Council |
| Dentist | BDS or MDS |
| Homeopathic | BHMS and registration with Ayush or State Council |
| Physiotherapist | BPT or MPT from a recognised institute, plus registration with State Medical Faculty or minimum 3 years of relevant work experience |
Preferred, not compulsory: an MD in Medicine for the General Physician post, a PG degree for the specialist posts, a PG qualification for Ayurvedic, Dentist and Homeopathic posts, and an MPT for Physiotherapist. Experience in IITs, IISERs, IISc, NITs or similar central government institutions is desirable for all posts.
Whichever post you apply for, keep your registration certificate ready, because the form asks for the registering body, registration number and validity date. For Physiotherapist, carry either the registration proof or your experience certificates, depending on which route you meet.
An important warning: the listed qualifications are the bare minimum. Having them does not guarantee a call for the interview. If many forms come in, the Institute can shortlist only those with higher qualifications or more experience, so write down every extra degree and year of experience, with proof.
The notification does not state any age limit and gives no age relaxation. Do not assume one. The only age-related rule is that your date of birth must be proved with the Matriculation / SSC certificate from your education board. No other document is accepted for date of birth.
The pay is a fixed amount, not a government pay-scale. Only the General Physician gets a monthly figure, and it is a maximum. The other posts are paid per visit.
| Post | Remuneration | Working Hours |
|---|---|---|
| Allopathic General Physician | Maximum ₹24,000 per month | 2 hours a day, 6 days a week |
| Pediatrician, Obstetrician and Gynecologist, Ophthalmologist, Neuropsychiatrist / Psychiatrist, ENT Specialist | ₹3,200 per visit | 2 hours a day, 2 days a week |
| Ayurvedic | ₹1,000 per visit | 2 hours a day, 2 days a week |
| Dentist | ₹1,000 per visit | 2 hours a day, 3 days a week |
| Homeopathic | ₹1,000 per visit | 2 hours a day, 3 days a week |
| Physiotherapist | ₹720 per visit | 3 hours a day, 6 days a week |
A per-visit rate means you are paid for each visit you make, so what you earn in a month depends on how many visits the Institute needs. The notification gives no monthly total for these posts, so please do not count on a fixed monthly income from them. Compare the hours with your own clinic or hospital time before you apply.
All hours are “or as per requirement”. Doctors must also do extra duties, health camps and medical examinations when the Institute asks, and no extra pay is given unless the Institute approves it. The services of a contractual employee can be ended at any time by either side with one month’s written notice, unless the Institute and the employee agree otherwise.
| Stage | Detail |
|---|---|
| Shortlisting | Only if many forms arrive; based on higher qualification and more experience |
| Personal Interview | Before the Selection Committee, on a date shared on the notice board and website |
| Merit List | Made category-wise from interview performance; a waiting list may also be made |
The interview tests your personality, subject knowledge and fitness for quick deployment. The Institute may also hold a written exam or skill test if needed. There is no change of interview date for anyone, and no TA or DA is paid for attending. You must carry original documents plus two sets of copies and two recent passport-size photographs, failing which you will not be allowed to appear. Mobile phones and calculators are not allowed in the test or interview. If you want to plan your preparation, our exam calendar page helps.
