The Office of the District Collector and Magistrate, Jayashankar Bhupalpally has invited applications for 10 posts under the National AYUSH Mission in Telangana. The posts are AYUSH Medical Officer, Pharmacist, Psychosocial Counselor, Yoga Professional and Multi Purpose Worker (MPW), with pay from Rs 15,000 to Rs 40,000 a month. The jobs are on an outsourcing basis up to 31 March 2027. There is no online form here, so read this page slowly.
Applications close today, 31 October 2026, at 5:00 PM. Forms are taken only on working days, between 10:30 AM and 5:00 PM, and anything received after the due date is summarily rejected. If you live nearby, take your form in person today. This guide covers eligibility, age, pay, selection and documents, with help from GovtJobsAlert.in. For similar openings, see Telangana govt jobs and medical and healthcare jobs.
This recruitment is run by the District Selection Committee (DSC) of the District Health Society. The Director of AYUSH in Secunderabad asked the Collector to fill only 10 posts in 5 categories in this district. The Government of Telangana had earlier allowed 333 services across the state, but only these 10 belong to Jayashankar Bhupalpally.

After 31 March 2027 the services continue only as per need and subject to satisfactory performance. Treat these as time-bound jobs, not permanent posts.
The seats are listed against roster points, so the table shows the category printed for each seat. Check the row for your own post.
| Post | Roster Points (Category-wise) | Total |
|---|---|---|
| AYUSH Medical Officer | OC 2, SC (Group II) 1, BC-A 1 | 4 |
| Pharmacist | OC 1 | 1 |
| Psychosocial Counselor | OC 1 | 1 |
| Yoga Professional | OC 1 | 1 |
| Multi Purpose Worker (MPW) | OC 2, SC (Group II) 1 | 3 |
Only the categories shown above carry a roster point in this district. Candidates from other categories should read the notification PDF carefully before applying. The notice also says the selection list follows the rule of reservation and the Presidential Order.
Each post has its own requirement. Match your certificate to your post, because the notice prescribes these as the required qualification.
| Post | Requirement |
|---|---|
| AYUSH Medical Officer | Degree in Ayurveda, Unani, Homoeopathy or Naturopathy from a recognised university or institution, after a regular course of at least 4½ years plus one year compulsory internship |
| Pharmacist | D Pharmacy, B Pharmacy or Pharma D, and registration with the Telangana Pharmacy Council |
| Psychosocial Counselor (on call) | Post Graduate Degree in Master of Social Work (MSW) from a university in India or a UGC-recognised institution |
| Yoga Professional | Either a Degree in Naturopathy (4½ years plus one year compulsory internship) or a Diploma in Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences |
| Multi Purpose Worker (MPW) | Passed VII Class, and able to ride a bicycle or motorcycle |
If you are a postgraduate in social work, the counselor post is the one for you. Yoga Professional has two routes, so a diploma holder can apply without a full degree. Pharmacists must already hold the Telangana Pharmacy Council registration, so do not apply hoping to get it later.
The minimum age is 18 years and the maximum is 44 years, both counted as on 1 July 2026, not on the day you apply.
| Category | Relaxation in Maximum Age |
|---|---|
| SC, ST and BC | 5 years |
| Ex-Servicemen | 3 years, in addition to the length of service in the armed forces |
| Disabled persons | 10 years |

Age also earns marks in selection, so a candidate who is older may gain a few extra marks, as the selection table below explains.
The notification gives a consolidated monthly figure for each post. The counselor is paid per session instead.
| Post | Consolidated Pay |
|---|---|
| AYUSH Medical Officer | Rs 40,000 per month |
| Yoga Professional | Rs 28,000 per month |
| Pharmacist | Rs 15,000 per month |
| Multi Purpose Worker (MPW) | Rs 15,000 per month |
| Psychosocial Counselor (on call) | Rs 500 per session, at least 200 visits in a year |
The notice says the remuneration and qualifications follow the approved guidelines and Government Orders. It does not list allowances, so do not assume any beyond the figures above. For the counselor, the engagement is on a call basis, so income depends on how many sessions you are called for.
Selection is by a 100-mark merit list prepared by the District Selection Committee. The committee has the District Collector as Chairman, and the list is displayed on the website for transparency.
| Stage | Detail |
|---|---|
| Qualifying marks (90) | For AYUSH Medical Officer, Pharmacist, Psychosocial Counselor and Yoga Professional, marks come from your qualifying examination |
| Written test (90) | For MPW, marks come from a written test conducted by the concerned authorities |
| Age weightage (10) | For all posts: 0.5 mark for each completed year after 18, maximum 10 marks, age counted on 1 July 2026 |
| Merit list | Prepared on the marks above and displayed on the website |
| Selection list | Prepared from the merit list, following reservation and the Presidential Order |
Here is how the age marks work. A candidate who completes 20 years gets 1.0 mark, 30 years gets 6.0 marks and 40 years gets the full 10.0 marks. For the Psychosocial Counselor, a panel of eligible candidates may be empaneled and engaged on a call basis when needed. The notice does not give a date for the MPW written test. Keep checking the district website.
For the AYUSH Medical Officer, the cadre is multi-zonal. You can apply in any district of the concerned multi-zone, but selection is restricted to one district. The other four posts are district cadre. The notification also prints a local reservation of 95%, and it does not say which posts it applies to, so read the PDF for the exact position.
This is an offline process. There is no online registration and no application link in the notification.
