The notification gives no category-wise reservation split, so the table shows only total seats. Interview time for every post is 10:30 AM.
Note that the seats are split across two days. Four posts in the first group sit on 18 November, while the Administration post and all three YP-I posts sit on 19 November. If you qualify for more than one post, check whether the dates clash before you plan the trip. The application form also has a question asking whether you are willing to be considered for a lower post if your application for the applied post is ineligible or not shortlisted, so decide your answer in advance.
For four SRF / YP-II posts, your degree route decides whether you are considered for SRF or for YP-II.
| Degree Route | Considered For |
|---|---|
| 4-year Bachelor’s + 2-year Master’s | SRF |
| 3-year Bachelor’s + 2-year Master’s, with NET or Ph.D. | SRF |
| 3-year Bachelor’s + 2-year Master’s, without NET | YP-II |
This a/b/c split is printed for four of the five SRF / YP-II posts (all except Agricultural Extension). For Agricultural Extension the notification gives only the Master’s subjects, with no SRF or YP-II split.
| Post | Essential Qualification |
|---|---|
| Molecular Breeding / Genomics | Master’s in Genetics & Plant Breeding, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics or related subjects |
| Biochemistry (SRF / YP-II and YP-I) | Master’s in Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Food Technology or Food Science and Nutrition |
| Plant Biotechnology / Molecular Biology | Master’s in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Plant Biotechnology or a related discipline |
| Agricultural Extension | Post-graduation in Agricultural Extension, Agricultural Economics or Agri Business Management |
| Administration / Project Management | Post-graduation in agricultural sciences, agribusiness management, Business Administration or agricultural marketing |
| YP-I (Molecular Breeding / Green House) | At least a 3-year undergraduate degree in Agriculture or Horticulture |
| YP-I (Seed Science & Technology) | M.Sc. (Agriculture) with Seed Science and Technology, Crop Physiology or Genetics and Plant Breeding |
The notification also lists desirable qualifications for every post, such as lab experience in molecular markers, PCR, food analysis, seed testing or farmer outreach. Ph.D. in Agricultural Extension is desirable for that post. The notice says relevant certificates for both essential and desirable qualifications are compulsory, so carry proof of everything you claim. If you are a fresh graduate in agriculture, the YP-I Green House post is your entry point.
| Post | Age Limit |
|---|---|
| Senior Research Fellow | Maximum 35 years |
| SRF relaxation | 5 years for SC/ST and women, 3 years for OBC |
| Young Professional-II and Young Professional-I | Minimum 21 years, maximum 45 years |
| YP relaxation | As per GOI rules |

The notification does not state an “as on” date for age. The application form asks for your age as on the date of interview, so check your age on your walk-in date.
| Post | Monthly Pay |
|---|---|
| Senior Research Fellow | ₹37,000 + HRA (1st and 2nd years); ₹42,000 + HRA (3rd year onwards) |
| Young Professional-II | ₹42,000 (fixed / consolidated) |
| Young Professional-I | ₹30,000 (fixed / consolidated) |
No TA/DA or any other expense is paid for attending the interview, so plan your travel to Hyderabad accordingly.
Look at the pay carefully. The SRF figure rises to ₹42,000 plus HRA only from the third year onwards, and the engagement is initially only up to 31 March 2027. Any extension depends on the requirement and availability of funds, so treat this as project work rather than a permanent post. YP-II pays the same ₹42,000 as the later SRF years but is fixed and consolidated, without a separate HRA line.
| Stage | Detail |

The notification names only these two steps and does not describe marks, a written test or any other round. Only candidates who hold the essential qualification will be allowed to attend the interview. The Director’s decision is final and binding.
The notification mentions no application fee for this walk-in.
