Several departments have no Unreserved seat at all – Microbiology, Medical Genetics, Nephrology, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Paediatrics, Physiology and Trauma & Emergency Medicine. A UR candidate cannot get these posts. On top of this, 4% of the vacancies are reserved for PwBD candidates in posts identified as suitable. AIIMS Bhopal says vacancies are provisional and may change, and it may add or delete departments, so keep checking the Institute’s website.

Holders of a Part II, Schedule III qualification must also meet section 13(3) of the IMC Act. The advertisement does not say which department falls under which set, so match your degree to your discipline. Experience counts only after you obtain the prescribed qualification. Be careful with the reference date. The age-limit clause says 50 years “as on the date of Interview”, but Important Note (b) says age, experience and qualifications “will be counted as on the closing date of application”. The advertisement does not settle this, so make sure you are within the limit on both dates. If you are close to 50, this matters a lot, because the interview date is not yet announced.
The pay is a consolidated ₹1,42,506 per month, fixed by the Competent Authority.
This is a fixed consolidated amount. The notification lists no separate allowances on top of it.
The appointee is not entitled to Provident Fund, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Attendance, Seniority, Promotion or other benefits of regular government servants, nor to allowances or facilities given to regular faculty. Hostel facility may be given as per rules, subject to availability.
So why apply? A year of faculty work at an AIIMS adds to your teaching record, though the advertisement says it is never linked to regular appointment. Just go in with clear eyes: this is a fixed-term job, not a permanent one, and the six-month minimum service rule below means you should only join if you can stay.
