Welder alone carries 70 of the 200 seats, which is more than a third of the total. Trades such as Turner, Ref & AC and Computer & ICTSM have only 10 each, so the merit in those trades can be tight. Your trade is fixed by your ITI certificate, but knowing the seat count helps you set realistic hopes.

The notification gives these percentages only. It does not publish category-wise seat numbers for each trade, so do not rely on any trade-wise category count you see elsewhere. The most important bar is this: candidates whose apprenticeship “contract ID” has already been created under the Apprenticeship Act 1961 during training in any other organisation are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply. If you have already done an apprenticeship somewhere and a contract was generated on the portal, this engagement is closed to you.
Reserved category candidates must hold a valid, updated category certificate that follows the current guidelines. PwD candidates should be able to perform routine basic functioning independently.

The notification states only the minimum age of 18 years as on 28.09.2026. It prints no upper age limit and no relaxation table, so check your date of birth against the minimum carefully.

The stipend is a lumpsum monthly amount. The notification gives only this range and does not split it trade-wise, so plan your monthly budget around ₹9,600, the lower figure.

If you registered on NAPS earlier, first check that no apprenticeship contract has been created against your profile in another organisation, because that alone makes you ineligible. Also make sure the trade and marks on your NAPS profile match your ITI marksheet, since the merit list is drawn from those marks.
