The notification prints one merged figure of 80 for Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager and Manager, so there is no grade-wise, discipline-wise or category-wise split.

Reservation for SC, ST, OBC (NCL), EWS and PwD (40% disability or more) follows Government of India guidelines, and PwD reservation is horizontal. MECON can increase or decrease the number of posts, so the reserved seats may change with it.
You must be an Indian national and a regular employee of a CPSE or of a large private organisation with an annual turnover above ₹2,000 crore in any of FY 2023-24, 2024-25 or 2025-26. Preference goes to candidates from listed companies. Only candidates willing to serve anywhere in India should apply.
Each grade has ten post codes, one per discipline. Add 10 for every higher grade: Civil is 01 for E-1, 11 for E-2, 21 for E-3, 31 for E-4 and 41 for E-5.

Engineering and Law degrees must be Regular / Full Time. The HR qualification can be Regular, Full Time or Open and Distance Learning from a UGC-recognised university. Rounding is not accepted: 59.99% will not be counted as 60%. If your university gives only grades, upload the grade-to-percentage conversion document. On a 10-point scale, a grade of 6.0 counts as 60%, unless the university prescribes otherwise.
Experience is counted after your qualification, up to 1 September 2026, in the relevant area: Design & Engineering, project execution or inspection & quality control for engineering posts; the entire gamut of HR & IR function for HR posts; legal matters for Law posts.

Check what is not counted: freelance work, entrepreneurial experience, articleship, internship, academic projects, teaching, research, and industrial or vocational training done as part of a course. Intermittent jobs count only for actual full-time days. Management, Executive and Graduate Trainee periods count only in PSUs. Apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act, 1961 counts with certificates from both the Statutory Body and the training organisation.

Relaxation has a hard ceiling: your age on 1 September 2026 must not exceed 52 years even after relaxation. So a SC/ST candidate cannot reach 55. The notification does not list a separate PwD-SC figure.

On top of Basic Pay and DA (IDA pattern), selected candidates get subsidized accommodation if available, or HRA in lieu, perks and allowances under the Cafeteria Approach, and Performance Related Pay. Other benefits are medical facilities for self and dependent family, PF, Gratuity, Leave, GPA, NPS and PSMBS, all as per company rules.

The notification names Personal Interview as the mode of selection, but MECON may change it at the discretion of Management. Aadhaar is mandatory, and the Aadhaar number you type must match the card you upload. No changes are allowed after submission. If you work in a Central or State Government department, PSU or autonomous body, either forward the hard copy of your online application through your employer (Proper Channel) or produce a No Objection Certificate at the interview. Otherwise, post nothing to MECON; carry a hard copy of your application to the interview.

If you hold an OBC (NCL) certificate, it must be issued on or after 2 September 2025. If you do not have a fresh one yet, upload your older certificate and submit the new one at the interview or before joining.
