The posts are Technical Officer, Technician (1), Security Officer, Security Assistant and Multi Tasking Staff (MTS). Pay goes up to Pay Level 7 (₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400). CSIR-AMPRI is a national laboratory of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) under the Ministry of Science & Technology. It works on advanced materials and processes. Selected candidates join at Bhopal, but the job is transferable to any CSIR lab in India.

Please note two things. TC-03 and TC-04 are anticipated vacancies that will arise on retirement (31.03.2027 and 31.05.2027). The offer of appointment for these comes only after the vacancy actually arises, and selection alone gives no right to earlier joining, pay or seniority. Also, the vacancy numbers are provisional and may change at the time of selection.
Only two codes carry a reserved seat: TO-03 has one SC seat and TC-02 is reserved for ST. Every other code is Unreserved. If you are from SC, ST or OBC and apply for a UR code, you are treated on par with general candidates for that seat, so check your age against the general limit before you apply.

For every Technical Officer code, the degree may be “or equivalent”, and 55% or equivalent CGPA is accepted. If your marksheet shows CGPA, upload your university’s conversion formula, or your form will be treated as incomplete. If you hold a Master’s, see more post graduate government jobs too.
Technician candidates have two more routes besides ITI. You can apply with 10th (Science, 55%) plus 2 years’ full-time apprenticeship in the same trade, or plus 3 years’ work experience in that trade in a Government, PSU or autonomous body. More ITI government jobs are listed on our site.
For Security Officer, the experience is 5 years for Short Service Commissioned Officers and for Assistant Commandants in CRPF / BSF / ITBP with the stated pre-revised pay scale. For Inspectors from Para-military forces, it stays 10 years. The MTS job includes car driving with a valid LMV licence, along with office and hospitality duties.

SC/ST/OBC candidates applying against UR seats will not be eligible for age relaxation. The Security Officer and Security Assistant posts are not identified as suitable for any benchmark disability, so PwBD candidates are not eligible for these two posts.

These totals are approximate, at the minimum of the pay level, and include Basic, DA, HRA and TA in a Class ‘Y’ city.
Along with salary, you get CSIR benefits like medical reimbursement, LTC, Children’s Education Allowance and the New Pension Scheme. There is no pay protection for Ex-Servicemen.
A Screening Committee first shortlists applicants for Technical Officer, Technician, Security Officer and Security Assistant. It may use its own shortlisting criteria, so list every extra qualification you have.

Marks obtained in the Trade Test are not counted for preparation of the final merit list. Papers II and III are checked only if you cross the Paper I threshold, and the final merit is based on Papers II and III.

Use an email ID and mobile number you will keep for months. Admit cards can be downloaded only from the CSIR-AMPRI website, and no candidate is allowed into the exam venue without a valid admit card.

Pay only through SBI Collect or the online payment gateway; cash, demand draft and postal orders are not accepted. Ex-Servicemen already regularly appointed to a central civil post after using ESM concessions will not get the fee exemption.
