The posts come from school requisitions of different sessions, including posts covered by a High Court order dated 15 April 2026 in Special Appeal No. 376/2026. There is one row for each type of school, because boys’ and girls’ schools have different seats.

All vacancies are unreserved (UR). The notification lists every school, with its division, district and requisitioned post, in a separate table called Saarani-2 at the end of the PDF. Check the list for your own district before you apply. The Commission has also said the number of vacancies may increase or decrease, so treat 1,172 as today’s figure.
Women can apply for boys’ schools or girls’ schools, but you must choose only one of the two while filling the form. A male candidate is not eligible for a post in a girls’ school.
You must meet all three conditions below.

For the certificate, “competent level” means it is issued by the district-level officer and countersigned by the divisional officer. For Kendriya Vidyalayas it means the Regional Officer. The format is given in Annexure-2 of the notification.

The notification does not list any category-wise age relaxation. Only your High School (or equivalent) certificate is accepted as proof of date of birth, and an application without a date of birth is not accepted.

The notification gives only the pay level and scale and does not list allowances separately. So wait for your appointment order before counting an exact in-hand figure. The pay is the same for boys’ and girls’ school posts.

The notification does not give a separate “last date to apply”. It gives 22 November 2026 as the last date for fee payment, and your application is valid only if you complete it by the last date after OTR and payment. Do not wait for the correction window.

The fee is the same for every category, and no category is exempt. Pay online through the payment gateway on the portal. A fee paid on a wrong application is not refunded in any case, and cannot be adjusted against another application.
