Job Description

Job Summary

This role is accountable for driving operational excellence and continuous improvement in managing complex big data environments. The individual ensures the reliability and performance of large-scale systems by leveraging expertise in Kafka, PowerShell, and Python, while fostering a culture of innovation and empowering teams to meet and exceed client SLAs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead operations management using Kafka, PowerShell, and Python to ensure seamless data streaming, automation, and incident resolution across complex big data environments.
2. Architect and implement advanced monitoring and alerting solutions in Kafka clusters utilizing Python and PowerShell for early detection and proactive issue management.
3. Oversee and optimize operational workflows and reporting by automating routine support tasks with PowerShell and Python, improving efficiency and data integrity.
4. Expertly analyze and troubleshoot critical incidents in Kafka-based data pipelines, ensuring rapid resolution and minimal business impact.
5. Mentor and guide support teams in best practices for big data operations, driving adoption of innovative tools and methods in Kafka ecosystem management.
6. Collaborate with internal teams to translate client requirements into actionable support strategies, ensuring adherence to SLAs and high customer satisfaction.
7. Champion process improvements and introduce new automation initiatives using Python and PowerShell to enhance reliability and scalability of operations.
8. Provide expert-level technical direction during major incidents, ensuring root cause analysis, knowledge sharing, and continuous operational improvement.

Skill Requirements

1. Excellent Skills In Scripting And Automation Using Powershell And Python For Operational Efficiency And Incident Management.
2. Advanced Understanding Of Monitoring Tools And Automated Alerting In Big Data Environments.
3. Excellent Analytical And ProblemSolving Abilities Applied To LargeScale Operations And Incident Resolution.
4. Strong Leadership And Mentoring Capabilities Within Technical Support Teams.
5. Advanced Proficiency In Translating Client Needs Into Actionable Technical Solutions.
6. Excellent Communication Skills For Team Guidance And Client Interaction.

Other Requirements

1. Optional but valuable: Confluent Certified Administrator for Apache Kafka (CCAK), Microsoft Certified: PowerShell Automation, Python Institute�s PCAP (Certified Associate in Python Programming)
