Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Site Civil Engineer to supervise the civil, structural and architectural construction of a large-scale AI Data Center campus in Odisha. The position will act as the Owner's on-site representative for assigned CSA activities and will work closely with contractors, the Owner's Engineer, design consultants and other discipline teams.

The role requires strong field-execution experience, disciplined site reporting, practical problem-solving and the ability to ensure that work is completed safely, in accordance with approved drawings and specifications, and in alignment with the construction schedule.

Key Responsibilities

. Construction Supervision Supervise day-to-day civil, structural and architectural activities at the project site. Monitor contractor manpower, equipment deployment, productivity and workfront readiness. Verify that work is executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements and construction procedures. Identify field constraints, incomplete prerequisites and potential delays, and promptly escalate them with recommended actions. Coordinate inspections, hold points and work releases with the contractor and relevant consultants. Maintain continuous field presence during critical construction activities. 2. Civil and Site Infrastructure Works Supervise site clearing, grading, excavation, filling, compaction and earth-retention works. Monitor foundations, equipment pads, trenches, pits, underground utilities and embedded items. Oversee internal roads, pavements, kerbs, stormwater drainage, culverts, boundary works and external site infrastructure. Coordinate utility corridors and crossings to avoid clashes and rework. Verify survey benchmarks, lines, levels and dimensions with the contractor and survey team. 3. Structural Works Supervise reinforced concrete works, including reinforcement, formwork, inserts, anchor bolts, concrete placement and curing. Monitor structural steel fabrication interfaces, erection, alignment, bolting, welding and protective coatings. Oversee precast elements, equipment support structures and heavy equipment foundations. Confirm that structural openings, sleeves, supports and load-bearing provisions are coordinated with electrical and mechanical requirements. 4. Architectural Works Supervise roofing, waterproofing, façade and building-envelope works. Monitor internal partitions, fire-rated assemblies, doors, finishes and architectural fit-out activities. Check installation interfaces for access control, security, fire stopping and service penetrations. Ensure architectural installations provide required maintainability, equipment access and operational clearances. 5. Contractor and Site Coordination Coordinate daily with civil, structural and architectural contractors and subcontractors. Participate in daily coordination meetings, weekly progress reviews and construction look-ahead planning. Track workfront releases, dependencies, material availability and constraints affecting execution. Follow up on agreed actions and support timely closure of site issues. Provide factual site inputs for measurement verification, progress assessment and change evaluation. 6. Multidisciplinary Interface Coordination Coordinate CSA works with electrical, mechanical, fire protection, ICT, security and commissioning teams. Ensure rooms, equipment yards, trenches, shafts, openings and access routes are available in accordance with the integrated schedule. Confirm readiness of foundations and routes for major equipment, including transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, cooling equipment and CDUs. Identify drawing conflicts and raise requests for information before the work is affected. Support coordinated planning of temporary works, lifting routes, laydown areas and equipment movement. 7. Safety and Site Discipline Promote a strong safety culture and intervene when unsafe conditions or practices are observed. Confirm that contractors follow approved permits, method statements, lifting plans and project HSE procedures. Participate in toolbox talks, site safety walks and incident reviews when required. Maintain orderly work areas and coordinate removal of debris and obstructions that may affect safe execution. 8. Documentation and Reporting Prepare accurate daily site reports covering progress, manpower, equipment, constraints, safety observations and key decisions. Maintain site observation logs, issue trackers, photographic records and action lists. Provide inputs to weekly and monthly progress reports. Monitor short-term construction plans and report variance between planned and act
