Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must satisfy the prescribed age and educational qualification requirements before submitting the application form. The age limit is to be calculated as on 01 August 2026. Candidates belonging to eligible reserved and special categories can claim relaxation in the upper age limit according to applicable government rules. SC/ST 5 Years, OBC 3 Years, PwBD As per SSC rules, Ex-Servicemen As per SSC rules, Other Eligible Categories As per Government rules. Candidates claiming relaxation should possess valid supporting documents. For certain DEO and DEO Grade A positions, candidates are required to have passed Class 12th in the Science stream with Mathematics as one of the subjects.
How to Apply
Eligible candidates can submit their applications through the official SSC website. Step 1: Visit the official SSC website. Step 2: Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) if you do not already have an SSC registration account. Step 3: Log in using your registered credentials. Step 4: Find the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination, 2026 application link. Step 5: Read the instructions carefully. Step 6: Enter your personal and educational details. Step 7: Select the appropriate post preferences wherever required. Step 8: Upload the required photograph, signature and other documents in the prescribed format. Step 9: Carefully check the complete application form. Step 10: Pay the application fee, if applicable. Step 11: Submit the application. Step 12: Download and save the final application confirmation page.
Important Instructions
The application fee for candidates who are required to pay is ₹100. Women candidates and candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD and eligible Ex-Servicemen categories are exempted from payment of the application fee. The fee can be paid using the online payment methods provided by SSC, including BHIM UPI, Net Banking and eligible debit/credit cards. The SSC CHSL selection process consists of Tier-I and Tier-II examinations, followed by the applicable skill/typing test and document verification. Tier-I is the first stage of the SSC CHSL examination and is conducted as a Computer Based Examination. Candidates have to qualify according to the prescribed cut-off and selection rules to proceed to the next stage. Candidates qualifying in Tier-I become eligible for Tier-II. The Tier-II stage includes the prescribed objective and skill-based components according to SSCs examination scheme. Candidates shortlisted for appointment have to undergo verification of their original documents by the concerned department. Candidates should keep their educational certificates, identity proof, category certificate and other required documents ready.
