Job Description

The EU International Technology (EU INTech) charter for Partner Growth and Experiences (PGX) is established to deliver coherent and personalised experiences for Selling Partners (SP) and Amazon teams, enabling them to manage their business growth across Amazon WW stores as a single-store experience, benefiting Amazon customers by accelerating Amazon flywheel. Our mission is to delight Customers and enable long-term success of Selling Partners by building the most trusted shopping experiences and a suite of services, tools and experiences that drive efficiency, growth and transparency for both, our Selling Partners and internal Retail teams, throughout their selling journey and across regions.

As a Software Development Engineer-2 on Amazon’s Partner Growth Experience team, you will assume advanced ownership of designing, developing, and evolving mission-critical systems that empower Amazon’s Selling Partners at scale. This role builds upon foundational engineering excellence to drive strategic technical leadership, ensuring solutions align with Amazon’s long-term vision for partner enablement and marketplace growth.

Key job responsibilities
- Technical Ownership & Architecture: Take end-to-end ownership of complex features and subsystems, making architectural decisions that balance performance, scalability, and maintainability across large-scale services. Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with senior technical leaders to define system roadmaps and prioritize technical debt reduction.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner deeply with product managers, UX designers, and senior stakeholders to translate ambitious business goals into innovative technical strategies. Lead cross-functional design workshops, ensuring technical feasibility while advocating for customer-obsessed solutions that drive measurable partner outcomes.
- Advanced Development Practices: Build and evolve high-availability, secure services using modern engineering practices, including automated testing at multiple levels, robust CI/CD pipelines, and comprehensive observability. Drive adoption of best practices across the team through code reviews, tech talks, and hands-on pairing.
- Operational Excellence: Own system reliability and performance, proactively identifying and resolving production issues through deep-dive analysis and root-cause investigations. Implement automated monitoring and alerting systems that reduce MTTR and improve partner experience uptime.
- Feature Delivery & Innovation: Deliver high-impact features that accelerate partner success—ranging from advanced analytics dashboards to next-generation onboarding workflows—while balancing rapid iteration with sustainable engineering principles. Champion innovation by exploring and evaluating new technologies that could transform partner capabilities.
- Leadership & Growth: Mentor SDE-1 engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence. Act as a technical escalations point for complex issues, while also driving personal growth through strategic skill development and leadership opportunities.
