Job Description

As a Social & Video Content Lead at IMDb, you will own IMDb India’s editorial voice and content strategy across Instagram, X & YouTube with the goal of building a strong community of entertainment professionals and fans. You will leverage IMDb’s data & features and be guided by audience interest. You will own all social content, regardless of content type, from everyday social posts and statics to short-form video, talent-led content and original programming.

You will work independently, managing agencies and production partners, taking ideas from insight → concept → treatment → production → launch → optimization. You will ensure the final output reflects IMDb’s voice and creative standards. You will translate business needs and make data-driven decisions by understanding what is working, identify opportunities for growth and continually evolve our content strategy.

• Own IMDb India’s editorial voice and social/content strategy across Instagram, YouTube and X, regardless of format: editorial posts, statics, short-form video, long-form video, talent content or original programming.
• Build an integrated editorial calendar and content roadmap that balances always-on social content, entertainment/cultural moments, talent, IMDb data/features, original programming and business priorities - using audience insights, platform trends, performance data and business priorities.
• Own the external agency/production ecosystem, overseeing that editors, producers and agencies are aligned to IMDb's creative standards and growth objectives; assess and reshape the current agency model where needed.
• Develop original content concepts and IPs for IMDb, including recurring YouTube series, social franchises and tentpole formats. Use IMDb’s unique data, product and entertainment expertise to create differentiated, ownable formats, rather than simply participating in trends.
• Own professional engagement and execution for social, including identifying opportunities, developing talent concepts and directing talent shoots and social collaborations.
• Own performance and learning, using engagement, watch time, retention, audience growth and other platform metrics to continually improve formats and programming.
