Job Description

Responsible for the design, engineering, and optimization of slurry piping systems for semiconductor manufacturing facilities, ensuring the safe, reliable, and contamination-free transport of abrasive chemical slurries used in critical fabrication processes such as Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP). Develop and review process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), piping layouts, equipment arrangements, and detailed engineering specifications in accordance with project requirements and semiconductor industry standards. Perform pipeline sizing calculations, flow analysis, pressure drop evaluations, velocity assessments, and hydraulic studies to ensure efficient slurry distribution and system performance. Select appropriate piping materials, valves, fittings, pumps, and ancillary equipment based on slurry characteristics, chemical compatibility, abrasion resistance, and operational requirements. Coordinate with process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, civil, and facility engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of slurry distribution systems within semiconductor fabs. Participate in design reviews, vendor evaluations, constructability assessments, installation support, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and contamination control standards while focusing on system reliability, maintainability, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.
