Job Description

The Site Engineer - Piling is responsible for planning, supervising, and executing all piling and foundation works in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, safety standards, quality requirements, and construction schedules. The role involves overseeing piling activities such as bored cast-in-situ piles, CFA piles, driven piles, test piles, pile load testing, and associated foundation works. The engineer shall coordinate with consultants, clients, survey teams, subcontractors, and equipment operators to ensure smooth site operations and timely completion of piling works. Responsibilities include reviewing construction drawings, method statements, geotechnical reports, and piling layouts; monitoring drilling operations, reinforcement cage installation, concreting activities, and pile integrity testing; and ensuring compliance with project quality and safety standards. The engineer shall maintain accurate records of piling progress, bore logs, concrete consumption, pile test results, and equipment utilization. Additional responsibilities include preparing daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, managing manpower and resources, resolving technical issues, coordinating inspections, and supporting project documentation and handover activities. The candidate should possess strong knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles, piling methodologies, load testing procedures, construction sequencing, and relevant IS, BS, ASTM, or project-specific standards. A Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering with 5+ years of experience in piling and deep foundation projects is required. Strong technical, coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential for successful project execution. Project HYD123&124.
