Job Description : JDs for this Data & Tech group attached or copied below:\\\\r\\\\n\\\\r\\\\nAuto-Patching/Tooling JD: \\\\r\\\\nAutomation Engineer\\\\r\\\\nEnterprise Technology Services (ETS) – Enterprise Computing (EC) – Data & Analytics Technology (DAT)\\\\r\\\\nData & Analytics Technology (DAT) delivers the platforms that power data engineering, analytics and business intelligence across the firm.\\\\r\\\\nWe are seeking an Automation Engineer to build and expand enterprise-scale automated patching capabilities across a diverse portfolio of platforms. The role focuses on developing a common autopatching framework, integrating vendor products, and partnering with engineering teams to automate upgrades, reboots and lifecycle operations at scale.\\\\r\\\\nThe Role Involves\\\\r\\\\n• Building a centralized autopatching platform used across DAT products and services.\\\\r\\\\n• Developing automation for patch deployment, upgrade orchestration, validation and recovery.\\\\r\\\\n• Designing and implementing automated reboot workflows, including dependency handling, health checks and post-restart verification.\\\\r\\\\n• Integrating vendor and internally developed products into the autopatching ecosystem.\\\\r\\\\n• Partnering with engineering teams to develop product-specific upgrade and reboot automation.\\\\r\\\\n• Driving improvements in patch compliance, operational efficiency and platform resiliency.\\\\r\\\\nSkills Required\\\\r\\\\n• Proven track record delivering modern automation solutions in large-scale production environments.\\\\r\\\\n• Strong Python and Unix/Linux scripting skills.\\\\r\\\\n• Experience automating software deployment, patching, upgrades or infrastructure operations.\\\\r\\\\n• Strong organizational, coordination and stakeholder management skills.\\\\r\\\\n• Experience with Git or similar revision control systems.\\\\r\\\\n• Ability to quickly understand and extend existing ksh, Perl and Python-based tooling.\\\\r\\\\nSkills Desired\\\\r\\\\n• Experience building automation platforms or shared engineering services.\\\\r\\\\n• Familiarity with enterprise data platforms and related technologies.\\\\r\\\\n• Knowledge of Ansible, Terraform or similar automation technologies.\\\\r\\\\n• Understanding of Linux, CI/CD, SDLC and DevOps practices.\\\\r\\\\n\\\\r\\\\n\\\\r\\\\n\\\\r\\\\n
