Job Description: Buyer - Indirect Materials
Level: L2
Job Details:
-
Procurement planning of indirect materials (consumables and spares) and ensuring availability
-
PR (Purchase Requisition) management - Validation of spec. technical drawing, qty. etc.
-
Request for Quotation, validation and comparision
-
Commercial negotiation for price optimization, terms and conditions
-
Addressing quality issues and taking corrective and prevention action with the support of suppliers
-
Creation of Masters, PSR (Procurement Sanction Request) and PO (Purchase order)
-
Alternate Sourcing and Alternate material recommendations to bring the savings
-
Inventory control and management of indirect materials
-
Procurement budgeting and control activities
-
Establishing AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract), ARC (Annual Rate Contract) and renewals
-
Ontime deliveries by consistent and systematic supply followups
-
Procurement of welfare, Canteen items, printing and event mgmt services
-
Process compliance in line with the procurement guidelines
-
Actively participating in WCM initiatives and improve the existing system
-
Supporting ISO and other process audits
-
Process automations and IT initiatives
Qualification:
Any non-technical degree (or) Diploma In Mechanical Engg. With 2 to 3 yrs of relevant experience
