Job Description

Technical Objects & Master Data

Candidate must have a good understanding on how to structure and categorize assets accurately.

  • Functional Locations & Equipment: Defining maintenance plants and hierarchical asset structures.
  • Bills of Material (BOMs): Assigning spare parts and assemblies to technical objects.
  • Work Centers: Creating and mapping maintenance crews, workshops, and labor capacities.

Maintenance Processing & Work Orders

Skills for routing, tracking, and executing maintenance tasks:

  • Notifications: Processing breakdowns and logging requests (M1/M2).
  • Work Orders: Generating, planning, estimating costs, and tracking execution (IW31/IW32).
  • Preventive Maintenance: Setting up scheduling parameters, maintenance strategies, and task lists.
  • Completion Confirmations: Recording actual labor hours and materials used.

Cost Allocation & Settlement (The "Settle" Phase)

The critical financial endpoint of the PM process, ensuring maintenance costs are properly absorbed:

  • Settlement Profiles: Configuring the rules that determine which receivers are valid (e.g., Cost Centers, Internal Orders, WBS elements).
  • Settlement Rules: Generating and maintaining the distribution percentages for cost allocation.
  • Period-End Closing: Executing the settlement run (KO88) to clear maintenance order balances and transfer costs to Finance (FI).
