SAP Controlling Architect

Job Title: SAP Controlling Architect
Location: Mumbai / Bangalore / Pune / Hyderabad
Grade: E1 / E2
Experience: 18-20+ Years

Role Summary

Seeking a highly experienced SAP CO Architect with expertise in SAP FICO, Management Accounting, Cost Management, Product Costing, COPA, and S/4HANA Finance transformation. The role will lead solution architecture, business process design, stakeholder engagement, and enterprise-wide SAP CO implementations.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture
  • Lead end-to-end SAP CO solution design and architecture.
  • Define target-state controlling processes aligned to business goals.
  • Conduct fit-gap analysis, workshops, and architecture governance.
  • Drive SAP best practices and S/4HANA innovations.
SAP CO Functional Leadership Implement and optimize:
  • Cost Center Accounting (CCA)
  • Internal Orders (IO)
  • Profit Center Accounting (PCA)
  • Product Costing & Cost Object Controlling
  • Activity-Based Costing (ABC)
  • Overhead Cost Controlling
  • Material Ledger & Actual Costing
  • Cost Component Structure
  • Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) & Margin Analysis
  • Transfer Pricing
  • Budgeting, Planning, Variance Analysis, Assessments & Distributions
Business Transformation
  • Design planning and controlling frameworks.
  • Support month-end/year-end close processes.
  • Drive profitability and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Enable management reporting and analytics.
Integration & S/4HANA
  • Architect integrations with SAP FI, S/4HANA Finance, MM, SD, PP, PS, EWM, BW/4HANA, SAC, MDG, and third-party planning/reporting tools.
  • Lead ECC to S/4HANA Finance transformations.
  • Design Universal Journal, Margin Analysis, Product Costing, Material Ledger, and Finance modernization solutions.

Mandatory Skills

SAP CO
  • Strong experience in Cost Center Accounting, Cost Allocation, Assessments, Statistical Key Figures, Internal Orders, Settlement Processes, Product Costing, Inventory Valuation, Actual Costing, COPA, Margin Reporting, Profit Center Accounting, and Transfer Pricing.
SAP S/4HANA
  • Expertise in Universal Journal (ACDOCA), Margin Analysis, Material Ledger, Actual Costing, Embedded Analytics, Group Reporting Integration, Fiori, and Financial Close processes.

Preferred Skills

SAP FICO, SAP Group Reporting, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Datasphere, SAP BTP, SAP PaPM, and SAP IBP.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Act as Lead Architect for SAP CO transformation programs.
  • Lead global onsite/offshore delivery teams.
  • Conduct executive workshops and stakeholder discussions.
  • Support governance, pre-sales, solutioning, estimations, and proposal development.
  • Mentor consultants and build Finance & Controlling capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Engineering, IT, or related field.
  • SAP FICO/CO and SAP S/4HANA Finance certifications preferred.
  • CA, CMA, MBA Finance, or equivalent qualifications are advantageous.

Preferred Industries

Manufacturing, Automotive, Consumer Goods, Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals, Energy & Utilities, Retail, and Engineering & Construction.
