We are looking for a candidate with demonstrated expertise in UK /EU regulated financial services company to join the UK Risk team. You will play a vital role in ensuring that Amazon complies with local and global legal and compliance requirements, using a pragmatic approach to balance risk management guidance against competing priorities. You will also help drive the adoption of Agentic AI and emerging AI-powered tools to enhance risk identification, monitoring, and remediation capabilities. You will join a team that partners across the organization to shape the future of Amazon’s evolving risk and compliance programs and where we value ownership, insight, intellectual flexibility, and sound business judgment.<br/><br/>Key job responsibilities<br/>(1) Contribute to the risk management program for the UK / EU licensed entities (payments, insurance distribution, and credit broking), including:<br/>• Roadmap delivery, including embedding of risk management mechanisms and support for change management (e.g. product launches etc.);<br/>• Monitoring of risk exposure versus entity risk appetite, with escalation as appropriate;<br/>• Facilitate detailed, data driven narratives to inform leadership/Board members of risk levels, mitigations, and impacts;<br/>• Incident response support.<br/><br/>(2) Develop the risk management framework, including development of policies, procedures, toolkits, and other governance documents as necessary:<br/>• Business Continuity / Operational Resilience;<br/>• Product Risk Assessment/Material Changes to Business Products;<br/>• Leveraging AI-driven tooling (e.g., intelligent agents, automated workflows, and GenAI-powered analytics) to scale framework effectiveness and reduce manual overhead.<br/><br/><br/>A day in the life<br/>You will use your experience working with compliance and businesses and working autonomously to:<br/>• meet with external customers & give advice and feedback on application of risk management<br/>• draft documents, provide leadership with reporting, schedule meetings and workshops, and deliver expertise to deep dive issues, quantify risk and drive remediation<br/>• Leverage Agentic AI tools and automation to enhance risk analysis, streamline reporting, and accelerate remediation workflows;<br/>• work on global projects, raise your hand to innovate the global risk management program.
- Experience in risk management and internal audit including: performing risk assessments and audits, designing controls, managing enterprise control frameworks, and prioritizing risk
