  • Purpose of the Role - The Research Scientist is responsible for contributing to research and development programs by applying advanced scientific knowledge to solve complex technical problems. The role involves designing and executing experiments, generating insights, and supporting the development of new products, processes, or technologies. The individual works closely with cross-functional teams to translate research outcomes into scalable solutions.
  • Key Responsibilities 
  1. Design and execute experiments, simulations, or studies aligned with project objectives 
  2. Analyze experimental data and generate insights, conclusions, and recommendations 
  3. Conduct literature reviews and technology scans to support research direction 
  4. Develop and optimize processes, materials, or formulations (as applicable) 
  5. Document research findings through reports, presentations, and technical papers 
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate research into practical applications 
  7. Identify and troubleshoot technical challenges during experimentation 
  8. Maintain accurate and structured records of experiments and results 
  9. Support scale-up, validation, and implementation of developed solutions 
  10. Contribute to innovation pipelines by generating and evaluating new ideas 
  11. Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards in all research activities 
  12. Utilize analytical tools, software, and instrumentation effectively 
  13. Present findings to internal stakeholders and participate in technical reviews 
  14. Stay updated with advancements in the relevant scientific field 
  15. Contribute to continuous improvement of research methodologies and practices 

Education

PhD in Engineering / Science
(e.g., Chemical, Polymer, Materials, Mechanical, Biotechnology, or related disciplines)

Experience

  1. 0#3 years of experience (including doctoral research)
  2. Hands-on experience in experimental research, data analysis, and technical problem-solving
  3. Publications, patents, or thesis work in relevant domain preferred

Skills & competencies

  1. Strong scientific and analytical thinking
  2. Proficiency in experimental design and data analysis
  3. Ability to solve complex technical problems with a structured approach
  4. Good written and verbal communication skills
  5. Strong documentation and reporting skills
  6. Familiarity with scientific tools, instrumentation, and software relevant to the domain
  7. Curiosity and innovation mindset
  8. Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
  9. High attention to detail and quality orientation
  10. Good time management and execution discipline
  11. Basic understanding of scaling research to industrial applications (desirable)
