Job Description

Head -Quality will lead the quality function across product development, supplier quality, manufacturing quality, reliability engineering, customer quality, and field quality for Power Electronics products including PCS, Central Inverters, BESS, DC-DC Converters, EV Chargers, and Energy Management Systems.The role is responsible for establishing world-class quality systems, ensuring compliance with international standards, driving continuous improvement, reducing warranty costs, and improving customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Quality & Design QualityParticipate in product development reviews.Implement APQP, Design FMEA, Process FMEA, and Control Plans.Ensure quality gates throughout product lifecycle.Define qualification and validation requirements fo Power Conversion System ( Central Inverters , DC-DC Converters, EV chargers),, Battery Packs, BESS ContainersSupplier Quality ManagementDevelop supplier quality framework.Qualify and audit suppliers globally.Monitor supplier PPM and quality performance.Lead corrective actions with suppliers.Establish incoming quality control processes.Manufacturing QualityIncoming Quality Control (IQC)In-Process Quality Control (IPQC)Outgoing Quality Control (OQC)Drive defect reduction and yield improvement.Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC).Ensure traceability across manufacturing operations.Support new product introduction (NPI).Reliability & ValidationDefine reliability strategy for power electronics and BESS products.Establish test programsThermal CyclingVibration TestingHALT/HASSEnvironmental TestingEMC/EMI TestingBurn-In TestingLife Cycle TestingAnalyze field failure trends and reliability growth.Customer Quality & Field QualityLead customer complaint resolution.Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective Actions.Reduce warranty and service costs.Support major customer audits and quality reviews.Monitor field performance of installed systems.Regulatory & ComplianceEnsure compliance with:ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001IEC Standards Standards , Utility Grid CodesCustomer-specific requirementsManage certification and surveillance audits.Continuous ImprovementDeploy Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.Lead Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) reduction programs.Implement digital quality and analytics tools.Benchmark best practices across industry.Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as FPY, Supplier PPM, Customer PPM, FFR, Warranty Cost %, COPQ, Audit Closure Rate , Customer Complaint Resolution timeEducationMin Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Power Electronics, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.Experience15–20+ years in Quality, Reliability, Manufacturing, or Operations.Minimum 5 years leading a quality organization.Experience in Utility-scale Solar Inverters, BESS , PCS ,EV Chargers ,Industrial Power Electronics ,Renewable Energy SystemsTechnical Skills Set requiredQuality ToolsAPQP,PPAP,FMEA ,MSA ,SPC8D ,Six Sigma ,Root Cause Analysis, Reliability Engineering
