Job Description

Job Characteristics:

Team Lead (EM & Civil) is primarily responsible for leading the team in monitoring maintenance & construction/installation of civil/electrical works with quality, safety & timeliness along with cost optimization, as per requirement received from user & management. She/He is also responsible for timely submission of monthly progress MIS, safety data, certification, processing of bills & amendments and other information as required. She/He is also responsible for capitalization of civil Capex works pertaining to EM & Civil group.

 Key Responsibilities:

  1. To monitor maintenance and allied electrical works of sub-stations, 66/33KV Grid sub-stations, office buildings, colonies & sub-station flats.
  2. To monitor construction and allied electrical works of sub-stations, VT centers, RO plants and office buildings.
  3. To monitor safety & quality of civil/electrical works at assigned jobs.
  4. To ensure timely submission of MIS reports, safety data as per requirement.
  5. To ensure timely processing of certified bills & amendments of POs/ROs.
  6. To ensure timely submission of maintenance and capex PRs/Schemes.
  7. To ensure execution of civil works as per work order timelines.
  8. To ensure processing of bills within 60 days after completion of work including sending bills to finance for payment through SES creation.
  9. To monitor timely capitalization of civil capex works pertains to EM &Civil group.
  10. To perform any other work allocated by Top Management based on Organization requirements.
  11. To actively participate in assigned or all activities of BE Group related to BEMI and implementation of TQM vehicles in work area.
  12. To ensure compliance of the Information Security Management System of the company.

 Knowledge and Skills Required:   

  1. Advanced knowledge of CPWD specifications with respect to Measurement codes, IS codes, DAR etc.
  2. Knowledge of latest building materials and it's usage. Ability to use Construction and demolition waste recycled products effectively in the new construction. 
  3. Advanced Knowledge of sequencing of activities, knowledge of tools like MS project, PERT, CPM (Critical path method), Bar Chart, labour laws, scheduling, effective resource allocation and utilization for timely completion of the project.
  4. In depth knowledge of different types working drawings. Ability to correlate with the coordinated drawings
  5. Basic understanding of SAP working, Flow of information in SAP at various levels, Extraction of data and T-codes used for the department.
  6. Ability to identify non-conformances and suggest future corrective action strategies.
  7. Thorough knowledge of quality tools and structured approach for quality improvement.
  8. Ability to ensure replication of improvement projects across the organization / translating improvement projects to business solutions.
