Microsoft Fabric (Azure Subscription) developer

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Fabric solution delivery

• Build and support Microsoft Fabric components (workspaces, Lakehouses/Warehouses, semantic models) aligned to business requirements.
• Design and implement data ingestion and transformation workflows using Fabric-native capabilities, ensuring reliability and maintainability.
• Organize and manage data in OneLake, enabling consistent access patterns and efficient data reuse across teams.

Data quality, performance & operations

• Monitor pipeline executions, troubleshoot failures, and perform root-cause analysis to restore services quickly.
• Optimize query and model performance through partitioning strategies, efficient transformations, and workload tuning where applicable.
• Implement data validation checks and support reconciliation to improve trust in datasets and reports.

Collaboration & documentation

• Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, define acceptance criteria, and deliver iterative improvements.
• Maintain clear documentation for datasets, pipelines, and operational runbooks to support ongoing support and onboarding.
• Follow team standards for versioning, release practices, and change management across Fabric assets.

Additional responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering/Technology/Computer Applications/Science (BTech/BE/BSc/MCA or equivalent).
• 3–5 years of experience in data/analytics engineering or BI platform delivery in a cloud environment.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric within an Azure subscription, including building and supporting Fabric artifacts.
• Working knowledge of OneLake concepts and practical experience managing data organization and access patterns.
• Strong understanding of data modeling fundamentals and data pipeline troubleshooting in production-like environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience designing end-to-end analytics solutions in Fabric (ingestion → transformation → semantic layer → consumption).
• Familiarity with Fabric governance and workspace administration, including access controls and environment hygiene.
• Exposure to semantic modeling and reporting enablement (e.g., building reusable datasets/metrics for analytics consumers).
• Experience with performance tuning for analytical workloads and optimizing transformations for cost and speed.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and drive clarity in requirements.

Power BI, DAX, SQL, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Data governance & access control
