We have an opportunity for an accomplished quality engineer to lead quality & data analysis activities for glass manufacturing through NPI and ramp for next generation Apple products. Our quality engineering team enables the mass creation of impossible products as a partner in the development of cutting edge technology that power Apple's renowned designs.
As a part of the Manufacturing Design team, you will have the opportunity to lead the development of quality processes for new and exciting parts. Not only will you define the quality, metrology and process requirements but you will also be a part of defining how new manufacturing processes are being designed from the ground up.
Experience in manufacturing and Quality Control
6-10 years experience developing process quality plans, supplier quality audits, and driving corrective actions and failure analysis efforts.
Working knowledge of mechanical quality and reliability concepts, supplier management, and general manufacturing operations.
Experience with the development and evaluation measurement systems.
Knowledge of programming OMM, CMM, contour machine, interferometer, 3D scanning, and other high precision equipment is a plus
Disciplined in GD&T practices with close attention to datum establishment and tolerance analysis
Project management experience and a solid understanding of problem-solving tools including design of experiments, root cause analysis and statistical analytical tools using JMP or Minitab
Familiarity with glass manufacturing and coatings is a plus
BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology, Chemical Engineering, Material Engineering or similar. ME/MS preferred
Strong project management and organizational skills
Exceptional communication skills driven by strong technical acumen, teamwork, project management and results driven approach
