Job Description

Are you passionate about creating exceptional workplace environments that enable teams to do their best work? Amazon is looking for a Facilities Manager to lead operations, drive process improvements, and deliver results across a portfolio of facilities. In this role, you will manage a team responsible for ensuring our spaces run smoothly, safely, and efficiently while continuously raising the bar on service delivery. You will define strategy, set goals, and partner with stakeholders across the organization to solve complex problems and improve the experience for every person who walks through our doors. If you are a collaborative, resourceful leader who thrives on turning ambiguity into action, we want to hear from you.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of facilities professionals, providing coaching, career development support, and performance feedback to build a high-performing, inclusive team capable of delivering independently.
- Define and manage facility operations metrics, service level agreements, and audit mechanisms to measure team progress, ensure operational excellence, and report performance to leadership and key stakeholders.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify risks, negotiate priorities, and align resources to meet both short-term operational needs and long-term strategic goals for your facilities portfolio.
- Establish and refine workflows, maintenance programs, and process improvement initiatives that reduce complexity, eliminate recurring issues, and improve the day-to-day experience for building occupants.
- Evaluate scope and priority across projects, making data-driven trade-off decisions while ensuring downstream impacts are properly assessed and communicated to senior leadership.

A day in the life
You start your morning reviewing facility performance dashboards and triaging any overnight issues with your team. Mid-morning, you join a cross-functional meeting to align on an upcoming space reconfiguration project, working through resource constraints and timelines with partner teams. After lunch, you hold one-on-one meetings with direct reports, discussing development goals and removing barriers to their work. Later, you walk the facility with your maintenance lead to inspect a recently completed improvement project before wrapping up with a narrative review for an upcoming operational planning cycle.

We work closely with real estate, engineering, security, and business partners to keep our spaces running at the highest standard.
