QA/QC Lead – Zoya (Luxury Jewellery)
Department: Quality Assurance & Quality Control
Reports To: Head – Studded Quality
Location: Mumbai (with travel to manufacturing partners and vendors as required)
Role Purpose
The QA/QC Lead is responsible for ensuring every Zoya jewellery piece meets uncompromising standards of craftsmanship, quality, functionality, durability and luxury finish. The role leads quality assurance across the product lifecycle—from concept validation through manufacturing, vendor development and final product approval.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and implement quality strategy, standards and KPIs.
· Ensure quality in product development through DFM reviews, prototype validation and pilot approvals.
· Lead manufacturing quality across casting, fabrication, stone setting, polishing, plating, assembly and finishing.
· Establish incoming quality standards for metals, diamonds, gemstones, components and packaging.
· Approve final products against finish, stone security, dimensions, functionality, hallmarking and packaging standards.
· Manage supplier quality, audits, scorecards and CAPA.
· Drive customer complaint analysis, root cause analysis and preventive actions.
· Lead Lean/Six Sigma quality improvement initiatives.
· Develop testing protocols for durability, wear, strength and plating quality.
· Maintain SOPs, FMEA, control plans, audit records and quality documentation.
· Ensure compliance with BIS hallmarking, Titan standards and responsible sourcing.
· Collaborate with Design, Product Development, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Retail and Customer Service.

Experience
· 10–15+ years in jewellery manufacturing quality.
· Experience in luxury jewellery, vendor quality and new product development.
