Job Description

Key Responsibilities (R&R)

  • Lead and monitor preventive maintenance (PM) activities for all SMT equipment and supporting machines.
  • Prepare and execute daily, weekly, monthly and annual PM plans as per machine manufacturer recommendations.
  • Coordinate with Production and Engineering to plan PM activities without affecting production schedules.
  • Monitor equipment breakdowns, MTBF, MTTR and machine availability and drive improvement actions.
  • Ensure timely closure of breakdown, PM and machine-related open issues.
  • Coordinate with OEMs, suppliers and service engineers for technical support, machine troubleshooting and major repairs.
  • Maintain and update PM checklists, maintenance records, machine history and calibration records.
  • Identify critical equipment and critical spare parts based on machine failure history and lead time.
  • Maintain adequate minimum/maximum stock levels for critical spare parts and consumables.
  • Monitor spare part consumption, stock levels, ageing and non-moving spares.
  • Coordinate with Purchase/Stores for timely procurement of required spare parts.
  • Ensure proper storage, identification, traceability and preservation of spare parts.
  • Review breakdown trends and identify opportunities for predictive/preventive maintenance.
  • Train and develop technicians on PM procedures, troubleshooting and equipment handling.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, ESD and equipment maintenance standards.
  • Drive cost reduction through spare optimization, repair/reuse and preventive replacement.
