Role Summary
HCLTech is seeking an experienced SAP DS Lead Functional Consultant with 6–8 years of SAP implementation experience to lead SAP PP/DS (Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling) initiatives for large steel manufacturing organizations. The role requires expertise in SAP S/4HANA Greenfield and Brownfield programs, production planning, finite capacity scheduling, manufacturing optimization, and integration with core SAP modules.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Lead SAP PP/DS solution design, configuration, testing and deployment activities.
Drive Greenfield, Brownfield, rollout and SAP S/4HANA transformation projects.
Conduct workshops and gather business requirements from production planning and manufacturing teams.
Configure demand planning, finite scheduling, capacity planning, heuristics and optimization processes.
Design detailed scheduling solutions for steel production, rolling mills and downstream operations.
Support production sequencing, resource utilization and bottleneck management activities.
Integrate SAP PP/DS with PP, QM, MM, PM, EWM and FICO modules.
Prepare functional specifications and support ABAP, integration and reporting developments.
Lead SIT, UAT, cutover planning, go-live and hypercare support.
Mentor consultants and provide best-practice guidance for supply chain planning processes.
