Before you plan your travel, note one thing clearly. The notification does not give a vacancy count for any post. It only says HLL may increase or decrease the number of vacancies based on its organisational requirements. So do not trust any number you see on social media. The only safe source is the notification itself, linked in Essential Links below. You can also write to the HR email given above if you need to clarify anything.
| Post | Vacancies |

Every post needs D.Pharm or B.Pharm. What changes by grade is the post-qualification experience in retail pharmacy. This is a good medical and healthcare job for both freshers and experienced pharmacists.
| Post | Qualification & Experience |
|---|---|
| Assistant Pharmacist | D.Pharm/B.Pharm; freshers can apply |
| Pharmacist Grade IV | D.Pharm/B.Pharm with minimum 2 years post qualification experience in retail pharmacy |
| Pharmacist Grade III | D.Pharm/B.Pharm with minimum 4 years post qualification experience in retail pharmacy |
| Pharmacist Grade II | D.Pharm/B.Pharm with minimum 6 years post qualification experience in retail pharmacy |
| Pharmacist Grade I | D.Pharm/B.Pharm with minimum 8 years post qualification experience in retail pharmacy |
Do not guess your grade. Count your years of experience only from the date you completed your D.Pharm or B.Pharm, and only the time spent in retail pharmacy. If you have 5 years of such experience, for example, you fit the 4-year Grade III condition and not the 6-year Grade II one. A fresher should look at the Assistant Pharmacist post.
Other conditions from the notification:
| Category | Maximum Age |
|---|---|
| All posts (as on 01.10.2026) | 37 years |
| SC, ST, OBC and PwD | Relaxation as per Government of India directives (years not stated) |

The notification does not state any salary or pay scale. Appointment is on a Fixed Term Contract, so ask about the pay at the venue and do not rely on rumours. Candidates must also carry their latest salary certificate with break-up, as listed in the documents below. Posting locations may change as per business requirements, and the management decides the final place of posting.
The selection for all posts has two stages: a Written Test and an Interview.
| Stage | Detail |
|---|---|
| Written Test | Multiple-choice questions (MCQs) |
| Duration | 30 minutes |
| Maximum Marks | 50 |
| Negative Marking | None for incorrect answers |
| Minimum Qualifying Marks | 25% of total marks |
| Interview | Second stage of selection |
Please remember that only candidates who pass the experience and qualification check are allowed into the written test. Prepare basic pharmacy knowledge such as drug names, dosage forms, storage, dispensing and pharmacy practice, because the paper is a 30-minute MCQ test. This is our preparation tip, not a syllabus given by HLL, as the notification does not publish one.
HLL can cancel, restrict or modify the selection process, or leave any or all posts unfilled. The decision of the management is final, and canvassing in any form leads to disqualification.
This is an offline walk-in process. There is no application link and no online form.

| 1 | Check that you meet the qualification, experience and age rules for your grade. |
