Role Summary:
We are looking for an Actuary with accounting proficiency. B. Key Result Areas
|
Ensure Timely, Logical Development with Accuracy |
· Support development, validation, and maintenance of actuarial valuation models in line with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS 17), ensuring consistency between actuarial outputs and financial statements. · Collaborate closely with actuarial, finance, and reporting teams to translate valuation results (e.g., BEL, CSM, risk adjustment) into accurate financial reporting, disclosures, and management insights. · Perform financial reconciliations between actuarial systems and general ledger, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and transparency of reported results. · Assist in preparation and review of financial statements, actuarial reports, and regulatory submissions, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and governance frameworks. · Conduct data validation, controls testing, and audit support activities to ensure integrity, traceability, and audit readiness of both actuarial and financial data. · Analyze financial and actuarial data to identify trends, variances, and key business drivers, supporting forecasting, budgeting, and decision-making processes. · Drive automation and efficiency improvements across actuarial and finance processes · Support documentation of methodologies, assumptions, and processes to ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory standards, and audit requirements. |
