Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Coordination

  • Assist in project planning, scheduling, and tracking progress against timelines.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor project milestones and escalate risks or delays appropriately.

2. Material Procurement Planning

  • Prepare and manage material requirement plans based on project timelines.
  • Liaise with procurement and stores teams to ensure availability of required materials.
  • Track inventory levels and align procurement schedules to avoid shortages or excess stock.

3. Vendor Management & Follow-Up

  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for timely delivery of materials.
  • Follow up regularly on purchase orders, dispatch schedules, and pending deliveries.
  • Resolve issues related to delays, quality concerns, or supply shortages in coordination with procurement teams.

4. Production Scheduling

  • Develop and maintain production schedules in alignment with project requirements.
  • Coordinate with the production shop to ensure adherence to schedules.
  • Monitor progress on the shop floor and adjust plans based on real-time updates.

5. Internal & External Coordination

  • Act as a key interface between project teams, production, procurement, and customers.
  • Maintain clear communication with customers regarding project status and delivery timelines.
  • Ensure alignment of internal operations with customer expectations and contractual requirements.

6. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain project documentation including schedules, reports, and status updates.
  • Prepare periodic project progress reports for management.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, material availability, and production efficiency.

? Required Qualifications & Skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field

Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in project coordination, production planning, or supply chain management

Key Skills

  • Strong understanding of production planning and material requirement planning (MRP)
  • Excellent coordination and follow-up skills
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.)
  • Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks

? Preferred Attributes

  • Exposure to manufacturing or industrial project environments
  • Familiarity with vendor management and supply chain processes
  • Basic knowledge of project management tools and methodologies
