Role Overview:

As a Developer L3 at Wipro Technologies within our ENGG - WIPRO ENGINEERING division, you will play a vital role in architecting, developing, and assessing software components that meet rigorous client standards. This role demands hands-on expertise in performance and functional testing domains along with full proficiency in scripting and coding languages such as PowerShell, Python, and Java. Your work will directly influence the optimization of SQL queries and overall system resilience, ensuring peak system performance under various conditions.

Technical Competencies Include:

• In-depth experience with Performance and Load testing methodologies, tools, and analysis.
• Proficiency in Functional Testing including API and REST API validation to guarantee application robustness and compliance with specification.
• Expertise in utilizing automation and scripting tools such as PowerShell and Python for testing framework development and efficiency improvements.
• Knowledge and hands-on expertise with SQL Performance Optimization to improve database access speed and resource utilization.
• Familiarity with popular performance testing tools such as LoadRunner and JMeter to simulate realistic user loads and analyze system behavior under stress.
• Active experience working with cutting-edge AI and code-assist tools including Agentic AI, Copilot, Claude, and Codex, leveraging these technologies to enhance coding accuracy and accelerate development cycles.

Areas of Responsibility:

You will be engaged in multiple aspects of the software development life cycle, extending beyond mere development to include strategic gathering of requirements, collaborative planning, and quality assurance.

• Requirements Gathering: Facilitate workshops and meetings with client stakeholders to deeply understand their business workflows, ensuring technical solutions are aligned with real-world needs.
• Coding and Configuration: Develop modular, maintainable, and scalable code components according to the defined project scope. Ensure that these components integrate seamlessly with existing systems and contribute to overall solution efficacy.
• Testing and Validation: Perform rigorous testing of developed modules including unit, integration, functional, and load testing to uncover and rectify defects early. Actively participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate end-user requirements.
• Implementation: Assist in deploying software modules into production environments while managing integration with complementary systems to provide stable and reliable application performance.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive, clear, and detailed documentation including system specifications, test plans, process flow diagrams, and code annotations to facilitate knowledge transfer and maintenance.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work in tandem with cross-functional teams comprising project managers, testers, and business analysts to foster an environment of continuous improvement and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage proactively in end-to-end software development, from requirement analysis and design through to testing and deployment.
• Develop and execute robust test plans and test cases for functional and performance aspects ensuring full coverage and compliance with client expectations.
• Optimize SQL queries and monitor database performance to elevate system response times and support scalability under high load.
• Leverage innovative AI technologies like Agentic AI and Copilot to streamline coding efforts, reduce errors, and enhance productivity.
• Collaborate with global teams to synchronize releases, troubleshoot issues, and guarantee quality delivery.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and industry best practices for continuous personal and team growth.
• Document technical specifications and provide status reports to management and stakeholders timely.

Skill Set Requirements:

• Performance/Load Testing: Solid proven experience in performance/load testing frameworks and methodology.
• Functional/API Testing: Strong working knowledge of API testing—especially REST API frameworks—to validate service endpoints.
• Programming/Scripting Languages: Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, and Java for development and automation purposes.
• Database Optimization: Expert skills in SQL query tuning to support high-availability architectures.
• Testing Tools: Hands-on familiarity with LoadRunner and JMeter for simulating and analyzing system load behaviors.
• AI and Automation Tools: Practical experience with Agentic AI platforms including Copilot, Claude, Codex, enhancing developer workflows.
