SECTION I: BASIC INFORMATIONJob FunctionDESIGN &amp; ENGINEERINGRoleSENIOR DESIGN ENGINEER(CIVIL: STRUCTURAL)Reporting to:ENGINEERING MANAGER/LEAD ENGINEERING MANAGERWorkplace ClassificationEDRC-DESIGN (HQ) SECTION II: ROLE SUMMARY (Purpose of the Role)Senior Design Engineer role is to create detailed analysis &amp; designs, plans &amp; specification that ensure safe &amp; efficient construction of metro infrastructure projects while adhering to codes, regulations &amp; environmental standards. Responsibilities include performing detailed structural analysis, precise structural design, and accurate quantity estimation using MS Excel and STAAD.Pro. Striving to deliver cost-effective, safe, and optimized design solutions that contribute to the development of metro infrastructure &amp; bring value to organization.SECTION III: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIESStructural DesignDesign &amp; analyze structural elements with a specialization in Metro &amp; High-Speed Rail projects using state of the art software/technology &amp; engineering principle.Develop Design Basis Report for metro projects, ensuring compliance with industry standard codes &amp; regulations.Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications &amp; BOQ for the structural elements.Stay updated with various codal provisions and their applicability across different structural applications.Timely response to client feedbackAnalyze client feedback and incorporate necessary design revisions to ensure alignment with project requirements, functionality, and structural integrity.Discuss with the team leader on the modifications, ensuring that all changes reflect the client&rsquo;s vision while maintaining technical feasibility and compliance with standards.Collaboration with StakeholdersContribute to site coordination efforts by ensuring designs remain adaptable to on-site challenges and project needs.Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure clear and effective communication, promoting a well-coordinated workflow that helps streamline processes and minimize project delays.Quality Assurance and Compliance with Regulatory StandardsMake sure all designs follow relevant codes, industry standards, and regulations.Check designs &amp; drawings carefully throughout the process to ensure they are accurate, complete, and high quality.Maintaining quality as per organization QA/QC policies.SECTION IV: KEY INTERACTIONSInternal StakeholderPurpose of InteractionInterface teamsCollaborate with various disciplines, including Geotechnical, CMPC and MEP teams, to ensure that all design and drawing considerations align with the needs and requirements of other stakeholders. This helps prevent rework during construction by addressing potential issues in the design phase.Team leadCommunicate any inconsistencies or issues within the design to the team leader, seeking guidance and suggestions for necessary revisions. Escalate unresolved matters to the appropriate experts for further advice and resolution.Drafting teamsProvide necessary input through proper sketch and ensure that drawings include all essential details through careful checking.Site teamCoordinate with the site team to review construction feasibility and conduct thorough utility checks, ensuring seamless execution and minimizing potential conflictsExternal StakeholderPurpose of InteractionThird party reviewerCollaborate with third-party reviewers to consider and address any comments or concerns regarding the design and drawings.General ConsultantReview the comment resolution sheet, address the General Consultant&rsquo;s comments, and ensure that the design and drawings are updated accordingly.SECTION V: KNOWLEDGE &amp; EXPERIENCEKNOWLEDGEMinimum QualificationsM.E / M.Tech &ndash; Structural EngineeringLanguage SkillsEnglish (Compulsory)EXPERIENCEYears of ExperienceMinimum 5 years of experience as Design Engineer.Nature ofExperienceExperience in design of elements of Elevated/Underground Metro Structures.SECTION VI: TECHNICAL &amp; LEADERSHIP / BEHAVIORAL SKILLS REQUIRED TO EXECUTE THE ROLESKILLS<
