For position 04, the practical experience in plant biochemical or physiological functioning is part of the essential qualification. The notification does not say how many years. If you are a graduate looking for government jobs, position 08 is the one open to B.Sc. holders. Position 01 also accepts a B.Tech degree, so engineering graduates in the listed branches can try it.

Age is counted as on the date of interview. The notification gives relaxation as per Government of India rules but does not list category-wise years, and it states no minimum age. The Hindi text of the notice mentions the last date of form filling for the qualification cut-off, but the notice itself says the English version is final, so use the interview date.
Pay is a monthly emolument. For Project Associate-I, the amount depends on whether you have cleared a national-level test.

HRA is paid only if institutional accommodation is not availed or provided. No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview, so plan your travel cost.
For a Project Associate-I, clearing NET or GATE makes a real difference of Rs 6,000 a month between the two pay bands. If you hold a qualifying result, mention it in the NET qualified line of Annexure-I and carry the proof. If you have not cleared any such test, you are still eligible and are paid in the other band.
These posts are purely temporary and run along with the project, which is sanctioned up to 31 March 2027. It may be extended if the project continues and your work is satisfactory. Total tenure can never exceed six years, counting all CSIR labs together.
