BP03 – Corporate Tax Senior Specialist

Job Title: Corporate Tax Senior Specialist

Role Level: BP03 (Senior Specialist)

Experience: 4–6 Years

Education:

• Minimum 15 years of regular, full-time education (10 + 2 + 3)​

• Non-technical graduation and/or masters in finance & accounts stream -BCOM, MCOM, MBA in Finance, CA/ICWA or Engineering background with proven green belt or transformation expertise in Finance and Accounts processes.

 

Must Have Skills:

• Finance and Accounting domain experience

• Proven track record of leading and/or mentoring multiple Lean Six Sigma improvement projects

• US corporate tax and sales and use tax compliance

• State tax support, SALT and tax accounting

• Tax reconciliations and ERP-based processing

Good-to-Have Skills:

• ASC 740 tax provision knowledge

• Vertex, Corptax or OneSource exposure

• Advanced Excel, Power BI/Alteryx and retail tax knowledge

• Stakeholders Coordination

• ERP Exposure

 

Role Summary The Corporate Tax Senior Specialist is responsible for tax compliance support, workpaper preparation, filings support, and tax audit support, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution while supporting exception management, reporting, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather and validate data for direct and indirect tax compliance
  • Prepare tax workpapers and supporting documentation
  • Support preparation of tax returns and filing readiness
  • Track tax compliance calendar activities and deadlines
  • Support reconciliations of tax accounts and balances
  • Assist with tax audit data gathering and documentation
  • Maintain accurate tax records and audit trails
  • Review tax workpapers and supporting schedules for accuracy
  • Support direct, indirect, and payroll tax compliance activities
  • Perform analysis of tax provisions, adjustments, and reconciliations
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors on tax matters
  • Provide functional guidance and support to junior team members
  • Support governance, compliance, and audit requirements

Experience & Skills

  • 4–6 years of experience in Corporate Tax or Finance Shared Services
  • Understanding of corporate tax compliance and workpaper preparation
  • Knowledge of direct and indirect tax processes
  • Experience with ERP and tax reporting tools
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and compliance orientation
  • Proven analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work in high-volume, SLA-driven environments
