Amazon Logistics India (IN AMZL) is looking for a driven and analytical professional to join the Short Term Capacity Planning team. This role sits at the intersection of operations, data analytics, and strategic planning — responsible for ensuring the right capacity is available across VAN and BIKE service networks to meet customer promise while optimizing cost-to-serve.<br/><br/>The Short Term Capacity Planner will own near-term capacity planning across DSP, Hubs, AMFLEX, and emerging channels, ensuring delivery sufficiency across all zones and stations in India.<br/><br/>Key Responsibilities<br/>Capacity Planning & Forecasting<br/><br/>Own weekly and daily capacity plans across all channels (DSP, hubs, AMFLEX, and emerging) for the India network<br/>Develop and maintain short-term (D-1, D-7) capacity plans aligned with volume forecasts<br/>Build cycle-level volume predictions and translate them into actionable block and route plans<br/>Lead capacity planning for High Volume Events (HVEs) including Prime Day, ART events, and peak seasons, ensuring cost and capacity sufficiency<br/>Performance Monitoring & Analytics<br/><br/>Track and analyze key capacity metrics including DPPH (Deliveries Per Productive Hour), assignment compliance, block mix, and ROBL (Return-on-Business-Load) across zones<br/>Conduct Daily Business Reviews (DBR), Weekly Business Reviews (WBR), and Monthly Business Reviews (MBR) with actionable insights<br/>Identify capacity gaps, over/under-supply situations, and recommend corrective actions proactively<br/>Block Mix & Cost Optimization<br/><br/>Optimize block mix across VAN and BIKE channels to reduce cost-to-serve while maintaining service levels<br/>Manage DSP, eDSP, and pickup pricing strategies to eliminate defects and improve productivity<br/>Drive initiatives to improve assignment compliance and reduce unplanned shipments<br/>Cross-functional Collaboration<br/><br/>Partner with Routing, Supply Planning, and Operations teams to align capacity inputs with routing configurations and station-level constraints<br/>Collaborate with BI and tech teams to build scalable planning tools, dashboards, and automated reporting<br/>Work with regional and global AMZL teams (NA, EU) for benchmarking and adoption of best practices<br/>Process Improvement & Governance<br/><br/>Develop and maintain SOPs, planning frameworks, and governance mechanisms for capacity decisions<br/>Lead automation initiatives such as auto-cap approval workflows and CTO-based capacity enrichment<br/>Drive standardization of planning processes across stations and zones<br/>

Basic qualifications

- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience<br/>- 5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience<br/>- 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience<br/>- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights<br/>- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders<br/>- Experience with Excel
