B.Lib / B.Lib.I.Sc / B.L.I.Sc from a recognised university, as prescribed under the Bihar School Librarian (Appointment, Transfer, Disciplinary Action and Service Conditions) Rules, 2025 and Graduation from a recognised university with at least 45% marks (or equivalent grade)
Age Limit
Minimum age: 21 years. Category Maximum age as on 01 August 2026 Unreserved (Male) 37 years Unreserved (Female) 40 years Backwards Class (BC) – Male/Female 40 years Extremely Backward Class (EBC) – Male/Female 40 years Scheduled Caste (SC) – Male/Female 42 years Scheduled Tribe (ST) – Male/Female 42 years Extra relaxation printed in the notice: Divyang (PwBD): 10 years in the upper age limit, as per General Administration Department Resolution No. 962 dated 22 January 2021 Ex-Servicemen: 3 years plus the length of defence service, provided actual age at application does not exceed 57 years
How to Apply
Open the BSEB SLET registration portal from the afternoon of 01 October 2026. Complete Registration, generate OTP, and save the User ID and Password sent to your mobile/email. Log in and fill in personal, educational and category details exactly as on certificates. Upload a recent colour photograph (about 80–200 KB, 3.5 cm × 4.5 cm, light background, no cap or dark glasses) and signature (about 50–200 KB). Upload self-attested copies of the certificates listed under Documents. Use Preview, correct errors with Save, then pay the fee and submit. Download the submitted form and keep the User ID, password and payment receipt.
