Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Handle techno-commercial aspects related to power plant operations and maintenance.
  • Manage vendor contracts, purchase orders, and ensure compliance with contractual terms.
  • Evaluate technical specifications along with commercial feasibility for procurement and services.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Operations, Maintenance, Finance, SCM) for smooth execution of activities.
  • Monitor and control costs, budget utilization, and support cost optimization initiatives.
  • Support tendering processes including preparation, evaluation, and finalization.
  • Ensure timely billing, invoice verification, and payment follow-ups.
  • Analyze commercial risks and provide mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain documentation related to contracts, agreements, and commercial transactions.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and audit compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical/Electrical preferred). MBA (Operations/Finance) is an advantage.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in techno-commercial roles within the power generation sector (preferably thermal power plant).
  • Strong understanding of contracts, procurement, and commercial processes.
  • Knowledge of power plant operations will be an added advantage.
  • Good analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle preferred).
