Job Description

Responsibilities

Boiler Commissioning
  • Execute pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and performance testing activities of Boiler systems.
  • Review commissioning procedures, checklists, P&IDs, engineering drawings, and vendor manuals.
  • Carry out system flushing, steam blowing, hydro tests, leak tests, and functional checks.
  • Commission pressure parts, fuel firing systems, APH, fans, soot blowers, coal firing systems, and associated auxiliaries.
  • Monitor boiler light-up activities, steam generation, synchronization support, and load ramp-up.
  • Analyze commissioning parameters and resolve operational issues during startup.
  • Coordinate with OEMs, contractors, and cross-functional teams for smooth commissioning execution.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
Ash Handling Plant (AHP) Commissioning
  • Commission Dry Ash, Bottom Ash, Fly Ash, HCSD/Lean Slurry systems, and Ash Water Recovery systems.
  • Perform testing and commissioning of ash handling equipment such as:
    • Pneumatic Conveying Systems
    • Ash Silos
    • Vacuum/Pressure Conveying Systems
    • Ash Conditioners
    • Slurry Disposal Systems
    • Hydro Ejectors and Pumps
  • Verify equipment healthiness and readiness prior to commissioning.
  • Conduct interlock checks, loop checks, functional testing, and performance trials.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues related to ash conveying, pumping, and disposal systems.
  • Ensure ash evacuation systems meet design and environmental compliance requirements.
Project Coordination & Safety
  • Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, C&I, Civil, and Operations teams during commissioning activities.
  • Track commissioning schedules and highlight critical issues impacting project timelines.
  • Prepare commissioning reports, punch point closure reports, and startup documentation.
  • Ensure strict implementation of PTW, LOTO, HIRA, and commissioning safety procedures.
  • Participate in startup reviews and reliability improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Diploma/ BE/ B.Tech in Mechanical.

Exp - 6-8 Years.
