Job Description

 

 

What are the Key Deliverables in this role?

 

Customer Service

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance
  • Liaison with the purchase for the low stock and over stock items and follow up for the same.

Internal Processes

  • Experience in the stores management activities such as receipt and issue posting of the store’s materials in the Stock ledger.
  • Ensuring timely scheduling of materials, coordinating with vendors for on-time delivery, and maintaining consistent follow-up to avoid delays.
  • Space Utilization, Fumigation Planning and Control activity, Mini-Max, ABC Analysis, Non-Moving Items Control and maintaining the personal records for employees for issue of equipment, laptops, etc.
  • Managing the physical loading, unloading, storage and Identification and preservation of the stores.
  • Periodic physical stock verification of the stores from time to time and annual stock verification.
  • Scrap disposal, E Waste & Hazardous waste regulations were relevant, Used Oil, and Bio Waste.
  • Supporting team for internal and external audits related to Stock taking, FSMS, FSSAI, FSSC, USFDA, HALAL audits.
  • Taking GRN, issue to production, invoicing for dispatch materials, reconciliation of stock on daily basis.

Innovation and Learning

  • The capability of handling stores with very large number of items like Raw material, packing material and general stores shall be preferred. Manage the team to achieve the institute’s expected response
  • Work together with the indenter / user departments to ensure that required materials are made available to user departments.
  • Work as part of the Central Stores team to share ideas and improve operation, recommending, supporting and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements to optimize results and improve quality of delivery

What are the Critical success factors for the Role?

  • Graduate in Commerce Preferably with Food Industry Experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the Stores and Inventory Management – Inventory Control, Receipt, Issue and storage and maintain Store records.
  • Computer proficiency (MS office, SAP, MIS reports)
  • Relevant knowledge of Food Safety practices
  • Excellent leadership and man management skills. Preferably exposure to SAP based working Able to exercise some latitude and technical judgement in deciding work methods
  • Proven experience as an Equipment Technician in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals and drawings.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Aptitude for working under pressure and managing emergencies.
  • Ability to manage a variety of cross-functional team members. Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making and commercially aware.
  • Basic awareness of statutory requirements
  • Mandatory Language Requirements (spoken), if any: English, Hindi

What are the Desirable success factors for the Role?

  • Knowledge of Food industry preferably in Packaging (Noodle, Masala, Sauces, etc.) 
  • Good communication skills (English / Hindi / Gujarati)

Good in Manpower Management Skills
