Job Description

Lead Telecommunication Engineering activities for offshore oil & gas projects from FEED through detailed engineering, procurement support, construction support, commissioning, and startup. Serve as Area Lead for all telecommunication system engineering activities within assigned project scope. Develop and review telecom engineering deliverables and technical specifications. Prepare, review, and approve: Telecom Design Basis Telecom Philosophy Documents Telecom Architecture Diagrams Telecom Block Diagrams Telecom Equipment Specifications Material Requisitions Technical Bid Evaluations Equipment Datasheets Network Topology Diagrams Telecom Layout Drawings Lead engineering activities for: Public Address & General Alarm (PA/GA) Systems Telephone Systems LAN/WAN Infrastructure Fiber Optic Networks Structured Cabling Systems CCTV Surveillance Systems Access Control Systems Radio Communication Systems UHF/VHF Systems Marine Communication Systems VSAT Systems Microwave Communication Systems PAGA Integration Systems Clock Synchronization Systems Network & Communication Infrastructure Ensure telecom systems comply with client specifications, project requirements, and applicable international standards. Review telecom package vendor documentation and provide technical comments. Coordinate telecom interfaces with control systems, instrumentation, electrical, and IT systems. Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews, model reviews, and constructability reviews. Ensure proper integration of telecom systems within offshore platforms and facilities. Support FAT, SAT, integration testing, commissioning, and startup activities. Resolve telecom engineering issues arising during project execution. Monitor engineering schedules and deliverable progress. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to telecom engineers and designers. Drive standardization, optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives within telecom engineering.
