Job Description

Job Summary

The DB2 Support Administrator plays a crucial role in ensuring the performance and reliability of DB2 z/OS systems. This position is responsible for independently resolving support tickets, providing on-call assistance, and conducting thorough root cause analyses. By adhering to quality standards and regulatory requirements, the administrator contributes significantly to achieving high customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide Technical Support For Db2 Z/Os Performance Tuning, Ensuring Adherence To Quality Standards And Regulatory Requirements While Resolving Escalated Issues Effectively.
2. Conduct Root Cause Analysis For Reported Issues, Utilizing Db2 Systems Knowledge To Identify Underlying Problems And Implement Corrective Actions.
3. Enhance Team Knowledge And Operational Efficiency By Updating And Managing The Knowledge Base And Training New Analysts On Db2 Systems And Dba Best Practices.
4. Independently Resolve Support Tickets Within The Agreed Sla, Ensuring Timely And Accurate Responses To Customer Inquiries And Issues.
5. Improve Customer Experience And Maintain High Csat Scores By Achieving First Call Resolution And Minimizing Case Reopens Through Effective Problem Resolution Strategies.

Skill Requirements

1. Strong Understanding Of Db2 Systems And Dba Principles, With A Focus On Performance Tuning In A Z/Os Environment.
2. Proficiency In Troubleshooting And Resolving Complex Db2-Related Issues.
3. Familiarity With Quality Assurance Processes And Regulatory Compliance Related To Database Management.
4. Experience In Knowledge Management And Training Initiatives To Support Team Development.

Other Requirements

1. Optional But Valuable: Ibm Certified Database Administrator � Db2 Z/Os.
2. Optional But Valuable: Itil Foundation Certification
